City: Medina : : Photo: Obituary: William Joseph O’Neill Sr. age 90, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 19, 1922 to Hugh F. and Grace (nee Wood) O’Neill. Mr. O’Neill served in the United States Navy during WWII and was discharged December 1945. Our dad was a Saint. “Who else could travel cross country on vacation with 5 children every year ?” He leaves behind his children, Susan (Terry) O’Neill Smith, Maureen (Chuck) O’Neill-Laszlo, Linda (Al ) Eckenfels, Bill Jr.(Char) and Therese (David) Taucher. He was the much loved papa to Stephen, Matthew (Paula), Amanda (Kevin), Heather, Holly, Bradley, Adam, Lucas, Shannon and loving great-papa to Zachery, Avery, Kelsey, Kadence, Ryan, Evan, also survived by his sister Mildred, and brother Patrick (Louanna). Preceding William in death were his parents, beloved wife Rae Ann (nee Scaffidi) in 2003, Precious son Michael, sister Sadie and brothers, Hugh and James. Friends may join the family for Visitation on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 from 4 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx and Rt. 18) Medina, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 AM on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at St. Francis Xavier Church 606 E. Washington Medina. Fr. Tony Sejba Officiating.
