PETER R. SUDYK
March 16, 1938 - January 19, 2022
Peter Ronald Sudyk, 83, of Medina joined his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 with his loving family at his side. He was born March 16, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Peter and Natalie (nee Budzynski) Sudyk. He was a member of Holy Martyrs Catholic Church and was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, Moses Cleaveland Assembly #800. Peter enjoyed skeet shooting at Beaver Creek Club. As President of PS Awards, a family business, he had a deep appreciation for those he supplied all the various trophies, plaques and medals to, because their works brought a lifetime of memories. Pete enjoyed golf and was a member of the Fox Meadows Golf Club. He enjoyed watching football, was a member of the C.I.C. (Catawba) Yacht Club and the Huron Yacht Club where he was a previous Commodore. Pete graduated from Kent State University with a BA degree. He was a Captain and commanded Troop A, 107 Armored Cavalry, of the Ohio National Guard. He was past president of and served on the Board of Governors of the 1st Cleveland Cavalry Association. Peter will be deeply missed by his loving wife Joanne, with whom he was blessed to share 59 years of marriage; daughters, Michelle (Anthony) Maglionico and Beth Sudyk; grandchildren, Nicole Loparo and Jonathan Loparo. He was preceded in death by his son Peter William Sudyk. Please join the family for Visitation for Peter on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services 3477 Medina Road (corner of Rte 18 and River Styx Rd.) Medina, Ohio 44256. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Martyrs Church on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH, MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT CHURCH. A Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Ferfolia Funeral Home 356 W Aurora Rd, Sagamore Hills, OH 44067 and from 9:00 - 10:00 AM Thursday, January 27, 2022 for procession to All Saints Cemetery where Peter will be laid to rest by his son.
