Philip Stephen Stropko, age 73, of Montville Township, Medina passed away at Lutheran Hospital on Thursday, December 12, 2013. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 18, 1940 to Vincent and Helen (nee Fodor) Stropko. He and Judith (nee Hyde) were married on May 1, 1965, celebrating 48 years together.
Philip is survived by his beloved wife Judith, daughters: Paula (Mark) Bresky, Karin (Brad) Bowers, Diane (John) Begovich, Julie (Brian) Sturgill, Nancy Stropko, grandchildren: Kyle, Courtney, Audrey, Tyler, Isaac, Jack, Evan, Grace, Olivia, Kate and Sam. Brother to Tom (Ginny) both deceased, Steve-deceased (Grace), Jim, Tina (Randy) Belmont, Mark and brother-in-law to Bill (Pat) Hyde.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 2 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of Rt. 18 & River Styx Rd) Medina, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 11 AM with 1 hour prior Visitation from 10 AM to 11 AM at Holy Martyrs Parish Church, 3100 South Weymouth Road, Medina, Ohio. (Please meet at the church). Fr. Stephen Dohner officiating.
Family suggests contributions be directed to a charity of your choice in Phil’s name.
