Randall C. “Randy” Holmes, 61, of Mesopotamia passed away on Sunday October 21, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was born December 22, 1956 in Warren, Ohio to the late Coy Swiger and Shirley (Sutton) Holmes.
He enjoyed watching westerns and visiting and talking to his family and friends. He loved to tinker around, he just couldn’t sit still, unless he was sleeping in his chair. You knew he liked you if he picked on you. Randy had a great smile that will be missed. He always put others before himself and was always the one you could count on to be there when needed.
Randy will be deeply missed by his loving wife Sherry, with whom he was blessed to share 43 years of marriage; mother, Shirley Holmes; children, Melissa Holmes of Farmington, Charles (Lori) Holmes of Mesopotamia, Scott Holmes of Farmington, Robert (Amber) Holmes of Niles and Lisa (Jeff) Naylor of Warren; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild who is on the way; siblings, Cathy Kolsky, Richard Holmes, Carol (Willie) Barshney, Cheryl (Jim) Fitzgerald, Cari (Rob) Young, JoAnn (Jack) Minger, Jodi Tabler, Christina Mandrake, Brenda Swiger, Coy (Maryann) Swiger Jr. and Julie (Tracey) Cramer.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Per Randy’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, OH 44231.
