Richard Anthony Owens (Tony), age 58, of Medina, OH passed away October 18, 2018. Tony was born October 24, 1959 in Spangler, PA to his parents, the late Fred and Judy (nee Wentz) Owens.
Tony grew up in Carrolltown, PA and was a 1978 graduate of Cambria Heights High School. He moved to Medina, OH in 1978 and began his lifelong career with Webb-Stiles. He was at his happiest when spending time with his wife and family biking, camping, taking vacations, throwing Halloween parties, and visiting Cedar Point.
Tony will be dearly missed by his wife, Kristen (Bouman); daughters, Jennifer (David “Rocky”) Campana, Amherst, OH and Julie (Bill) Owens-Spoonster, Copley, OH; grandchildren, Ryan, Katelyn, Nathan, and Andrew; his siblings, Fred (Amanda) Owens, Indiana PA; Jack (Sue) Owens, McKean PA; Ann (Jim) Serafin, Carrolltown, PA; Becky (Mike) Zaliznock, Wethersfield CT; Jim (Meg) Owens, Bethel Park PA; Pat (Beverley) Owens, Selinsgrove PA; Susie (Mike) Shingle, Erie PA; and Judy (Dale) Miller, Cranesville PA; father-in-law, Len Bouman; sisters-in-law, Barb (John) Bowers and Jill (Matt) Cipullo; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Cleveland Clinic staff--especially the nurses and aids on G100--as well as the Medina Meadows and the Hospice of Western Reserve staffs for their dedication, kindness, and support.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday October 22, 2018 from 4 to 8 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256. Funeral Services for Tony will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Tony's name to his favorite charity: The Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland.
