Richard George Vanderwyst, age 90, of Creston, passed away on December 13, 2018. He was born on May 26, 1928 in Cleveland, OH to Boyd and Edith (nee Heger) Vanderwyst.
Richard was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He was a member of Boilermakers Local 744.
He is survived by his brother, Jerrold (Sandra); sisters-in-law, Ellen and Carol; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Harry, Arlene, and Ronald.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256. A committal service will be held for Richard at a later date at Strongsville Cemetery. Please check back for updates.
