RONALD L. SIMS

Ronald (Ronnie) L. Sims, age 61, of Chatham, Ohio passed away at home with his family by his side on May 14, 2022. He was born on July 11, 1960, at Cleveland, Ohio to Richard and Janet (Riggen) Sims.

Ronnie was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to many. He was the President of Chatham Trucking, a company he founded and grew throughout the years. He enjoyed working along side with his family and friends. At a young age he developed a passion for truck driving. He spent the majority of his career in the trucking industry hauling steel. In more recent years, he retired from driving and worked as a consultant for the company overseeing the mechanical aspects of the business. His work was a just a hobby to him. He was very passionate about it and truly loved what he did. He also took great pride in building a beautiful home for his family. He sure had a keen eye for landscaping. (And was very particular about his grass!) In his spare time, he could be happily found working on excavating projects around the property.

Ultimately, Ronnie was one of a kind. He was compassionate, generous, hardworking, honest - never afraid to tell you like it is, motivated and so so strong. He was someone who knew no strangers. And was always willing to help those in need.

He will be deeply missed by his Wife of forty years, Anastasia "Stacey" Sims, Daughter Kristina (Chad) Breucker, Father Richard Sims, Brothers Richard (Fiancé Laura) Sims Jr., Robert (Sue) Sims, Sister-in-law Pam Riggen, Mother-in-law Virgina Sarantos, John Sister-in-law Christina (John) Dudich, Niece Alexandria Dudich, Nephews Jack and Mathew Dudich, and other nieces and nephews as well.

Ronald was preceded in death by his Beloved Son Anthony Sims, Mother Janet Sims, Father-in-law Anthony Sarantos, Brother Billy Riggen, Grandmother Sara Catherine Harbarger-Riggen, Grandfather Ernest Sims and Grandmother Louise Sims.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, May 27, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Rd., (corner of River Styx and Route 18), Medina, Ohio. Funeral Service will be held on 11:00 AM at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services on Saturday, May 28, 2022. Procession will follow to Chatham Twp. Cemetery, 6570 Avon Lake Rd, Chatham, Ohio, 44275 for interment service.
