Ruth D. Maur, 79, of Garrettsville, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015. She was born on September 28, 1935 in Lorain, OH to Earl and Lillian (Haas) Wood.
Ruth enjoyed crafts such as knitting and crocheting. She also liked reading, fishing, computer games, puzzles, and spending time with her beloved family and friends.
Ruth is survived by her children Diane ( Frank ) Wilke of Garrettsville, James Firtik of Newton Falls, Catherine Farley of Windham, Mary Lou ( Ed ) Hinkle of Freedom, and Joseph ( Christine Bright ) Firtik of Garrettsville; siblings Ronald ( Joy ) Wood of Lower Salem and Robin ( Elwin ) Sadler of Windham; 10 grandchildren; and many loving great grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, and her brother Russell.
Arrangements entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, OH 44231.
Cremation has taken place. Private services will be held at a later date.
