Ruth E. Porter, 97, a Burton Health Care resident, formerly of Parma, OH, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2014. She was born on June 21, 1917 in Akron, Ohio to Willis and Bertha (Ault) White.
Ruth was an avid music lover and enjoyed playing violin in the past. She cherished spending time with her beloved family and friends.
She is survived by her children Richard (Debbi) Porter of Garrettsville and Carol (Harold) Hoyt of New York; grandchildren Erin (Andrew) DeMoss, Amanda, Heidi, and Eric; and 5 great grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Robert and her parents.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven- Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Garrettsville.
Cremation has taken place.
