Sandra L Herbst R.N. (nee Macko), age 78, of Medina, passed away December 22, 2018. She was born on June 26, 1940 in Cleveland, OH to the late Harry and Helen (nee Nahm) Macko.
Sandra had a very fulfilling nursing career and enjoyed teaching young, up and coming nurses. Sandra enjoyed crossword puzzles and spending her time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to Vincent's band performances and Isabella's tennis tournaments. She was excited for the arrival of her very first great-grandchild, from Ashley (Sandgren) Wing.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters; Desiree (Ken) Wing, Ursula (Vince) DeCesare; son, Gerhard M. Herbst. She leaves behind her grandchildren; Ashley (Sandgren) Wing, Justin Wing, Vincent DeCesare and Isabella DeCesare.
She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia, and her brother-in-law, Dr. Valentine Mersol.
A Celebration of Life for Sandra will be held at Heartland Community Church, Saturday, January 26th, from 1-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sandra's name to your local animal shelter.
