Sean R. Carlson, age 50, of Loudonville, formerly of Brunswick and Garrettsville, was called home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2012 at his home. Our hearts are broken.
He married the love of his life Lani D. (Burk) Carlson on September 13,1996. He was born in Brunswick, Ohio to the late Earl & Katharine (nee Colaric) Carlson. Sean was a graduate of Ohio University School of Journalism. He was a 4 year letterman, 1980-1984, and Sr. Co-Captain of the OU Basketball team. He was extremely civic minded and belonged to many organizations.
He is survived by his loving Wife Lani, Daughter Regan, Mother Katharine; Siblings Michael (Karen) Carlson, Kathleen (Bolan) Carlson, Patrick (Patty Ann) Carlson, Mary (Timothy) Marcovy, Neil (Jackie) Carlson, Carleen (Rick Hamrick) Carlson; sister in law Lisa Burk-Crawford; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father Earl Carlson.
Friends may join the family for Visitation on Sunday January 6, 2013, from 2-8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (½ mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM on Monday January 7, 2013, at St. Colette Catholic Church, 330 W. 130th Street, Brunswick. Family will receive visitors at Church 1 hr prior, 10 to 11 AM. Burial to follow at Westview Cemetery, Brunswick.
Family suggest in lieu of flowers donations will be graciously accepted at Carlson Family Foundation c/o Huntington Bank 10787 North St. Garrettsville, Ohio 44231.
