SHARON M. TOWNSEND

November 8, 1958 — July 23, 2020

Sharon M. Townsend, of Valley City, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020. She was born on November 8, 1958, in Lakewood to the late Robert and Marlene Bruce.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney in 2011.

She was employed as a Registered Nurse for many years. Sharon was an active member of Cornerstone Chapel.

Her number one priority in life was her family. She loved animals, all God’s creatures and enjoyed her floral gardening. She was a selfless person who always put God first and had a servant’s heart.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Rebekah Townsend; sisters, Cindy (Rick) Opsincs, and Chris Bruce; nieces, Janet Townsend and Jackie (Brett) Todd; brother-in-law, Ralph (Sandy) Townsend, and sister -in-law, Rhonda Townsend.

Family and friends will be received for Sharon on Monday, July 27, 2020, from 2:00 pm until time of memorial service at 3:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Chapel, 3939 Granger Road, Medina.

Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick has been entrusted to handle the arrangements.
