Sherry L. Bruce, 73, of Southington, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 20, 2021. She was born in Whitesville, West Virginia, on August 9, 1947, to the late Therman and Della (Ferrell) Lester.
She loved spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed family gatherings. Sherry liked to spend time connecting to friends and family on Facebook and liked to relax by coloring on her tablet. When she was able, she could be found gardening.
Sherry will be deeply missed by her loving children, Melissa (Stephen) Houtz and Steven (Rita) Bruce; grandchildren, Carly (Mike) Fannin, Austin Harvey, Kodie Houtz, McKenzie Houtz, Kayla (Tyler) Byrne, Ashley (Eric) Love, Angelique Bruce, Stephanie (Robbie Davis) Bruce, and Ryan McCormick; great-grandchildren, Lillianna, Weston, Joey, Alyssa, Avery, Kyleigh, Isaiah, Mya, Ryder, Maria, Olivia, and Max; bonus family members, Martha Miller, Alison Smith, and Vincent Ganelli; many nieces and nephews, and well as other family members and friends, who are loved and cherished.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Laurence Bruce Jr.; brothers, Kenneth Lester, Buddy Lester, and Gene Lester.
In keeping with Sherry's wishes, cremation has taken place and all services are private. She will be laid to rest in Graham Cemetery, Southington, Ohio next to her husband.
