Stephen Delap, 73, of Montville Township, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 23, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Darwin and Doris Delap.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, and retired from the Department of Defense where he worked as an accountant for 25 years. Steve also retired from the Highland School District, after 10 years of service. He loved camping, his dog Amber, and was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Steve will be dearly missed by Mary Jane, his loving wife of 48 years; daughter Tori Allen, son Sean (Devynn) Delap; grandson Kahlin Delap, and great-grandchild Kayden Delap; He was a beloved uncle, brother-in-law and cousin to many.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother Kenneth Delap, and his parents.
In accordance with Steve's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Care for Steve was entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services 3477 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio 44256. A special message may be left for the family at www.carlsonfuneralhomes.com .
