Susie Julia (Tanski) Newton Beloved wife and mother, Susie Julia (Tanski) Newton, 61, passed away peacefully at her farm in Nelson surrounded by her husband and children on July 31, 2010. Susie was born March 24, 1949 to Chester and Julia (Dedianko) Tanski in Cleveland, Ohio.
Susie enjoyed raising her dogs, gardening, and remodeling her century home. Susie was artistically gifted and cherished spending time with her family and friends. Susie was an extremely hard worker, brave, loving and thoughtful. She touched many lives and would give you the shirt off her back. Susie maintained her courage through her five year battle with cancer, never giving up hope. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dale Newton; daughter, Susie (Sterpka) Ballish, Susie's finance, Brent Butterfield; son, Ed (Melissa) Sterpka, son, Doug (Keslie) Sterpka; grandchildren, Brittany Ballish, Heather Ballish, Michael Sterpka, Riley Sterpka, Bryce Butterfield, and Addison Sterpka.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 5-7 PM followed by her funeral services at 7 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Oh 44231.
