TALLY ANNE HOHMAN

The world lost an amazing woman, Tally Hohman, on September 16th after a brief illness. Tally passed away peacefully and was blessed by the surrounding of loved ones over her final days.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio on July 18, 1940, to John and Mary Travis, Tally graduated from Ursuline High School and earned her nursing degree in 1962 before embarking on a distinguished 45-year career at Marymount Hospital. She earned her master's degree in 2001, and despite being the 1st female Vice President in Marymount Hospital history and holding a variety of executive roles, Tally would proudly tell you that she was always a nurse first.
Tally was a servant leader throughout career and her selfless nature extended to her family and friends as well. She was married to the love of her life George for 59 years, was an amazing mother to her children and her grandchildren will attest that she was the best Grammy ever.
Tally was fiercely loyal and principled and was known by all as a kind soul, generously giving of herself and putting the needs of others ahead of her own. She was an avid golfer, an amazing cook and what she loved most was simply spending time with her family, especially their Hilton Head vacations together.
Tally was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jack. She is survived by her husband George, her son George (Mary), daughter Kim (Mike), grandchildren Travis, Collin, Madison, and Mason as well as her siblings Terry Travis (Lea), Mike Travis (Sue), Jo Cowley (Bill) and Lorene Friess (Rick) as well as several nieces and nephews.
If you would like to pay your respects, a receiving line will be hosted on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 10:00am-11:00am at St. Colette Catholic Church 330 W 130th St, Brunswick, Ohio, followed by Mass of Christian Burial.
