THEODORE HOWARD BECKMAN

Theodore Beckman, age 78 of Montville Twp., Medina, passed away on Wednesday evening, July 6, 2016 at his residence. He was born on December 12, 1937 to Theodore Earl and Lillian
(nee Squires) Beckman in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ted was a Veteran of the United States Army.

He and Marian (nee Motz) were married on February 7, 1959. He was an employee of American Greetings for 40 years. He enjoyed woodworking, building model airplanes, playing the trumpet with Let’s Dance Orchestra and his involvement with Avon Jaycees and being a City Councilman in Avon, Ohio.

Theodore is survived by his loving wife; daughter Laura Ann (Gary) Thielman; sons, Theodore Lawrence (Elsa), Douglas Edward (Ann); grandchildren, Ashley Ann, Alex (Chloe) Thielman, Andrew, Sean, Mariella, Allison Marie Beckman, and Kimberly Ann (Matthew) St. Phillips; also his brother Donald (Jill) and sister Kathleen (Richard) Boeres. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family invites friends for a gathering before Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 9 to10 AM at Holy Martyrs Church 3100 Old Weymouth Rd. Medina, Ohio 44256. Mass starting at 10 AM with Fr. Stephen Dohner officiating. Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio 44256 were entrusted with arrangements.
