Virgie V. “Aunt Jenny” Dilley Virgie V. “Aunt Jenny” Dilley, 100, of Garrettsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 13, 2011. She was born June 26, 1910 in Pochahontas County, W.VA. to the late Jess and Nancy (Hammons) McCoy.
Virgie retired as a cook from Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna. She enjoyed gardening, canning, knitting, and crocheting, but most loved spending time with her beloved family and friends.
Virgie is survived by nephews and nieces, Lynn (Glenna) McCoy of Garrettsville, Donna Eggleston and Jean (Bill) Brown of Florida, Linda (Gary) Oros of Garrettsville and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edger, and brothers, Bruce, Guy and Don.
Calling hours are 10 AM to 12 PM on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home on Wednesday with Rev. Peter King officiating. Burial will follow at Middlefield Cemetery.
