VIRGINIA D. GHARKY

June 12, 1939 - March 2, 2022

Virginia D. Gharky, age 82, of Garrettsville, OH, passed away on March 2, 2022. She was born on June 12, 1939, at Twin Rocks, PA, to the late Robert and Mary (nee Kish) Rutledge. She loved to cook and have family gatherings, participate with Eastern Star functions, American Legion activities, camp, and do crafts. Virginia worked as a dietician's assistant, a general manager, and graphic artist of a print shop. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ravenna Chapter #46 and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion #193 of Mantua. Virginia was also a charter member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Bainbridge Twp.; she held many offices in all organizations. Virginia will be missed by her sons, Kenneth (Regina) Marsh, Jr. and Frank (Jocelyn) Gharky; grandchildren, Justine (Matt White) LeRoy, Nathan (Lisa) Marsh, Chelsea (David) Krainz, Hannah Marsh, and Jonathan Marsh, and great-grandchildren, John Lennon, Kylie Krainz, James Krainz, and Layla Krainz. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert Gharky. Friends may join the family for visitation for Virginia on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH. A funeral service will be held with Eastern Star services at 1:00 P.M., with a memorial service to immediately follow at the funeral home, Pastor Robert Henderson officiating. Facial coverings are optional. Please observe recommended social distancing guidelines. Interment will follow at Park Cemetery immediately after the memorial service.
