Virginia Mae Marko, 80 of Brunswick, passed away October 1, 2010. She was born March 2, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Ms. Marko is survived by her siblings; Thomas (Marlys) Marko, Robert (Joyce) Marko, and Helen M. Smith and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; James T. and Antoinette (nee Bolten) Marko; brother James R. Marko and brother-in-law Donald Smith.
Ms. Marko was a President of The Riverside Golferettes golf league, active member of Travelwise and an Officer of Ledgewood Ladies Bowling. Ms. Marko was highly regarded and respected by her many friends and associates at Standard Oil Company of Ohio.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday, October 4, 2010 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick, Ohio. Private Interment at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to The Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 333 N. Summit Street, Toledo, Ohio 43604 in Virginia’s name.
