WARD PHILLIP PROESCHEL

Ward Phillip Proeschel, age 98 of Medina, passed away on Monday September 23, 2013. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Philip John and Margaret Edith (nee Conant) Proeschel.
Ward served in the United States Army during WWII and was honorably discharged as Staff Sergeant with the 171st Engineers Combat Battalion. Ward and Elizabeth (nee Reiner) raised two sons. Elizabeth passed away in 1991. Ward worked as Manager for West End Laundry & Dry Cleaning for 40 years.
He will be fondly remembered by his son Richard (Jenny), 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law Mary Ward, other family members and many friends throughout the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son; Thomas and siblings; Grace Mitchell, Robert, and Eva Kearny.
Many thanks to the staff at Emeritus Camelot Place for the wonderful care and attention given to Ward.
No Visitation will be held. Cremation has taken place. Final resting place will be in Elmhurst Park Cemetery in Avon, Ohio.
Carlson Funeral Home, 3477 Medina Road Medina, Ohio was entrusted with family arrangements.
