WILBUR HOMER BREWER JR.

Wilbur "Bill" H. Brewer, Jr., age 74, of Brecksville, passed away on December 3, 2018 from prostate cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born on July 24, 1944 in Cleveland to the late, Wilbur and Margaret (nee Henahan) Brewer, Sr.

Bill was a longtime resident of Westlake, Medina, and Brecksville. He was a graduate of Purdue University and a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. After 38 years, he retired from CEI, Centerior, and First Energy companies. Bill enjoyed traveling, sports, and singing in the church choir.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Nancy (nee Soptich); daughter, Debora; sister, Patricia; brother, Thomas; and nephew, Michael.

Friends may join the family for a Memorial Mass on December 15, 2018, 11:00 AM, at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 3100 Weymouth Rd, Medina, OH 44256. There will be one calling hour prior to Mass from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM at the church. A committal service will take place on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at St. John-St. Joseph Cemetery in Hammond, IN.

The family suggests donations be made in Wilbur’s name to the American Cancer Society, 11432 Mayfield Road, Cleveland, OH 44106-2364.
