WILLIAM "POPPY" BROADBENT

William “Poppy” Broadbent 81, of Sharon Twp. passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Ridgewood Hospice Care Center-Copley. He was born in Hamilton Ontario, Canada on April 28, 1929 to Roy and Florence (nee Farley) Broadbent.
Bill was a United States Veteran serving in Germany during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Hannah Lou (nee Little) Broadbent, sons; Stephen (wife Lynne) and Philip (wife Lynn), grandchildren; Sean, Adam, Jacqueline, Michael, Jamie and Ryan and brothers James and Thomas (wife Jean).
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Genet and Richard.
Friends are invited to share in a Celebration of Life Memorial which will be officiated by Rev. Michael Kraynak on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 6 to 7 PM at St. Luke’s Anglican Church 565 S. Cleveland Massillon Rd. Akron, Ohio. Reception will follow from 7 to 8 PM.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in William’s name to Boy Scouts of America, Great Trail Council-Akron, Ohio.
