William Andrew Chabala, 86, of Brunswick passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. He was born in Cleveland to Andrew and Mary (nee Knap) Chabala.

William is a U.S. Navy veteran who served aboard the USS Colorado. He was a 10 year commander of the VFW Post in Brunswick and was a member of American Legion. William loved his family, friends and honored his country.

William is survived by his beloved wife Josephine (nee Podolak); loving daughter Joyce M. (Michael) Colarik; and 2 grandchildren Kim (Lisa) Clements and Jeff Clements.

He was preceded in death by his brother Andy, sister Mary and his parents.

Friends may join the family for Visitation on Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 1:00-3:00 PM and 5:00-7:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (½ mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 11:30 AM with visitation 1 hour prior at 10:30-11:30 AM at St. Ambrose Church, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick with Fr. McNeil officiating. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery, Rittman.
