WILLIAM J. LANE

February 16, 1943 - January 21, 2022

William "Bill" J. Lane, 78 of Garrettsville Ohio went home to be with his beloved wife, Selena on January 21, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 16, 1943, in Shinnston, W.V., to the late William C. and Caroline (McCaulley) Lane. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and his many grandchildren. Bill will be deeply missed by his children, Veronica (Tim) Fischbach, Bill (Amy) Lane and Tonya Lane; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Caroline Fisher, Jane (Dennis) Battles, and Cora Ellen McCord, and many nephews, nieces, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Selena, and sister, Martha Dell Lane. A memorial visitation to celebrate his life, share memories, and tell stories will be held at the United Methodist Church, 240 West College Street, West Farmington, Ohio on Saturday January 29, 2022, from 12:00 PM - 2:00 P.M. A service will begin at 2:00 P.M., at the church, with military honors.
