CARL L WIRICK

Carl L. Wirick, age 93, of Brunswick, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 5, 2023. He was born on March 26, 1930, in Quincy, Ohio to Harold and Helen (nee Means) Wirick.

He graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree and went on to The Ohio State University to complete his master’s degree. Carl worked as a School Administrator for many years. Carl was a member of Brunswick United Methodist Church and volunteered as finance chairperson. Carl was a Master Mason and a loyal member of the Masonic fraternity for 70 years. He was the owner of Printing Partners and Crown Custom Publishing. Carl believed in being busy all the time. Carl also enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams, especially Ohio State Football, attending the theater and reading. He was a friend to many he met along his journeys.

Carl will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 34 years, Kay (nee Poole); children, Carolyn (John) Weglewski, Jerry (Lisa) Wirick; grandchildren, Brandy (Bryan) Thomas, Julie (Gary) Allen, and Ann (Eric) Baiko; great-grandchildren, Holden Owen, Bryson Liam, Taytum Olivia, Teagyn Nevada, and Olivia Marie; sister, Rosalind (Dr. Charles) Neer; and beloved uncle of many.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his first wife Ann (nee Jeffers); daughter, Jeanette Henry (Wirick); and grandsons, Johnny Weglewski and Michael Wirick.

Please join the family for visitation on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd. (1/2 mile south of route 303), Brunswick. There will be a visitation on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 10:00 am at Brunswick United Methodist Church, 1395 Pearl Rd., followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
