GENEVIEVE JOHNSON

Genevieve E. Johnson, 102, of Montville Township, Medina, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. She was born October 28, 1921, in Uniontown, PA, to the late Frank and Mary Bala.

Genevieve loved the outdoors and working in her gardens, she also enjoyed crocheting, knitting and taking care of her home. She had worked for the Navy Department and also worked with her husband in a family owned business.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip F. Johnson and several brothers and sisters.

Genevieve is survived by her children: Sylvia Johnson of Chippewa Lake, OH; Keith Johnson of Medina, OH; Kevin Johnson of Medina, OH; Janice (husband Gerry) Bird of Dublin, OH.

Genevieve is also survived by three grandchildren: Cheyanna (husband Adrian) DeNicola and great grandson, Bruno Philip of Cortland Manor, NY; Mikel Leverington of Miami, FL; Kelsey Leverington of Snohomish, WA.

She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, families and friends.

Genevieve passed away with her family by her side.

A private service and burial will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.

Carlson Funeral Home and Cremation Services are entrusted with the burial service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Western Reserve, Medina, Ohio and/or Ohio Department of Veteran Services.
