GERALD DAVID GRIGGY

Gerald David Griggy, 85, of Garrettsville, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was born July 19, 1938, in Brimfield Twp., to the late Harry and Gladys (Cady) Griggy.

He graduated Rootstown High School in 1956. Gerald worked as a machinist at Gouglar Industries of Kent for over 36 years. He had resided in Brimfield Twp. for over 50 years.

Gerald enjoyed playing the Organ and Accordion. He also had a passion for collecting wheel horse garden tractors and toy farm tractors.

He will be deeply missed by his children, Patricia (Jay) McCormick; Robert (Sarah) Griggy; grandchildren, Paul (Tiffany) McCormick, Kevin Griggy, Tabatha Griggy, Logan Griggy, and Laney Griggy; great granddaughter, Haylee McCormick, along with his nephew, many nieces, and friends.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Joyce; brother, James Griggy, and sister, Ruth Engelhardt.

Per Gerald's wishes, he is to be cremated. Services for Gerald are private and were entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
