Joe Miller Kaiser, 75, of Freedom Township, passed away suddenly on August 10, 2011, while on vacation in Tennessee. He was born in Briceville, TN on December 30, 1935 to Nevil and Addie (Foust) Kaiser.
Joe was a railroad conductor for Conrail and was a member of the United Transportation Union. He was a proud parishioner of Faith Evangelical Church. Joe was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He loved animals and the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Joe opened his home to many special children throughout his lifetime. He cherished attending his grandchildren’s 4H and sporting events.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Shirley (Lambert); son Joe (Julie) Kaiser of Freedom; and grandchildren Katelynn, Nick, and Ashley of Freedom; sister in law Kathryn Kaiser of Florida; and dear family friend Dale Reed.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Mary, Ginger, Alberta, Thomas, and Kay.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday, August 15,2011, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, OH 44231. Please meet at Faith Evangelical Church on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 11 A.M. where Joe’s funeral service will be held. Burial will follow at Drakesburg Cemetery in Freedom Township.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joe’s name to the James A. Garfield All Sports Boosters, Faith Evangelical Free Church, or to a charity of your choice.
