Joseph M. Vasil, II, “Joey” “Little Boy”, 65, of Nelson passed away on Friday November 16, 2018 with the people he loved most at his side. He was born August 01, 1953 in Ravenna, Ohio to Joseph and Evelyn (Wizner) Vasil.
Farming was his passion and auctions were his pastimes. Joey loved his cats and named each one. He enjoyed going for drives after dinner and having ice cream, he always had to get his double, double chocolate.
Joey will be deeply missed by his sister, Maria James; nephew, Eric (Christina Ronzio-James) James; best friends, Brian and Sandy Collins, Thom “Big Boy” Tauche, Buster “Horse Thief” Greathouse and Dee Hockman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Robert A. James (Jesse).
A graveside service for Joey will be held on Saturday November 24, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Harrington Cemetery, Nelson Township Ohio, Dr. Michael E. Carlson officiating. A Celebration of Life for Joey will be held on Sunday November 25, 2018 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the Nelson Community House on the circle.
Arrangements were entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, OH 44231.
