Kenneth L. Motz, 71, of Rootstown, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Akron General Medical Center.

He was a graduate of Hiram College, and taught mathematics at Streetsboro High School for 35 years. Ken was a member of St. Ambrose Knights of Columbus, Council #11801, as well as the St. Pius Assembly, 4th degree, #834. He was an usher and greeter at St. Ambrose Catholic Church for many years. Ken enjoyed fishing and was an avid Cleveland sports fan. He was passionate about donating blood and plasma, and gave the ultimate sacrifice to Lifebanc.

Ken is survived by his wife, Teresa “Tess” (Kaczynski) Motz; children, Matthew Motz and Lindsay (Kevin) Fox; grandson, Benjamin, and brother, Gary (Fran) Motz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mildred Motz, and brother, Robert Motz.

Please join the family for a visitation Sunday, September 24, 2023, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 10692 Freedom St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
