Linda Ann Hunt, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on June 17, 2024. She was born on December 6, 1950, to the late Lucille (nee Acquaviva) and Elmer Konas.
In addition to her parents, she is reunited with her granddaughter, Sofia and her brother Kenneth Konas.
She leaves behind her loving husband, James Hunt; her children, Justin and Jennifer (Aaron); her beloved grandchildren, Olivia, Alaina, Luke and Lucy; and many extended family members.
Linda’s love story with her husband, James, was truly special. They met on a blind date in Colorado 50 years ago, after Linda had driven out to visit a friend. Little did she know that this trip would lead her to the love of her life. From that first date, Linda and James formed a strong bond that only grew deeper over the years. They decided to move back to Ohio to be closer to their families, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. James was not just her husband but also her best friend, and their 50-year marriage was a testament to their deep connection and devotion to each other. Their journey together, filled with both good times and challenges, was a beautiful example of lasting love and partnership.
Linda was she proud mother, whom she nurtured with boundless love and guidance. But it was as a grandmother that Linda’s joy truly shone. She delighted in spoiling her grandchildren, often indulging them with treats and giggles, only to send them home on a sugar high. Her home was always filled with the sound of their laughter and was a place where they could always find comfort and affection.
Sunday dinners were a treasured tradition in Linda’s home. She had a talent for cooking that turned every meal into a feast, with her famous Italian spreads becoming legendary among family and friends. Her meatballs were a culinary masterpiece, and her Chicken Roll-ups were second to none. Each Sunday, her dining table was a gathering place where stories were shared, laughter echoed, and love flowed freely. Linda’s kitchen was not just a place to eat; it was the heart of her home, a place where memories were made and bonds were strengthened.
Road trips with her family were always something she looked forward to. Some of her favorite destinations included Niagara Falls, the serene beauty of Gatlinburg, and the charming allure of Pigeon Forge. These trips were filled with laughter, adventure, and an abundance of love. Linda believed that the best souvenirs were the memories made along the way, and she cherished the time spent exploring new places with those she loved most.
Linda was also a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan, a true testament to her loyalty and perseverance. She reveled in the excitement of football games, often loving the cold winter weather to cheer on her team from the stands. Her passion for the Browns was infectious, and she could often be found yelling at the television and sharing the highs and lows of the season with her family.
Linda was always prepared for any eventuality and made sure to provide provision to those she loved “just in case.” When not with her family she could be found playing candy crush and listening to the police scanner.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever warm the hearts of those who knew her.
