MARGARET "PEGGY" BUSH

January 16, 1947 — May 5, 2023

Margaret “Peggy” Bush, age 76, passed away Friday, May 5, 2023. She was born on January 16, 1947, to the late Benjamin and Mildred (nee Crum) Schardein in St Louis, MO.

She was a practicing Episcopalian her whole life. Peggy graduated from Western Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in accounting. She enjoyed golfing in her younger years, cross stitching, reading, and bird watching. Peggy was a proud member of the Daughters of the King and Eastern Star.

Peggy will be deeply missed by her loving daughter, Michelle (Cotton) Meade; grandchildren, Cotton and Finn; nephew, Donald P. Schardein; great nephew, Phillip Schardein; and great niece, Leigh Chappell Watt.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Eldon; brother, Don Schardein; and sister-in-law, Mary Schardein.

A funeral service for Peggy will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 4:30 pm in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 317 E. Liberty St., Medina. Burial will be scheduled in July 2023, at Fairview Cemetery, Bowling Green, KY. The Bush family has entrusted Peggy’s care to Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Brunswick.
