MONICA GAIL BROWNELL

Monica Gail (Brownell) Curry, 61, of Brooklyn, Ohio passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023.  She was born October 17, 1962, in Williamson, West Virginia to the late Rev. Derl W. and Mable I. Curry.

Monica graduated from Brunswick High School class of 1980.  She had a good sense of humor and always snorted when she laughed.  Monica had a love for reading and always had a good book in her hands.  She enjoyed cooking and entertaining her family and friends.  One of Monica’s greatest joys was working in the gardens and tending to her favorite flower the rose.

Monica is survived by her children, David C. (Danielle) Reece of North Carolina, Stephanie (Ryan) Blanc of Brunswick, Ohio and Step Son Lawrence (Jessica) McClure of Brunswick, Ohio; grandchildren, Madison, Gavin, Logan, Lilyana, Charlie and Gryffin; brother, Derl W. (Carlene) Curry II of Oakridge, North Carolina and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile south of Route 303) Brunswick, Ohio 44212 from 11am to 12pm with services to follow at 12pm. Services will be performed by Pastor John Castle.  A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 11am at Lenore Memorial Gardens in Williamson, West Virginia.  Colegrove Funeral Home in Williamson West Virginia is entrusted with the graveside services.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to One Childs Voice at www.onechildsvoice.org.
